My name is Aqdas, and I am 16 years old artist from Afghanistan, who wants to use her creativity to express the voice of Afghan girls. I turned to art as a way to advocate for my rights and give Afghan women a voice. I discovered that a pencil and a paper could grant me the freedom to express myself, and that art could be a weapon against violence, war, and social injustices. I was inspired to never give up on representing the voice of Afghan women. Through my art, I hope to make a difference in the lives of Afghan women. I want girls in my nation to grow up dreaming of thier future without any fear of their safety or worrying that their efforts will be in vain.
