The creeping vines and emerald canopy of Australia's Daintree Rainforest have been growing for more than 180 million years. That’s right – it’s the world’s oldest tropical rainforest by an impressive 10 million years, so it’s no wonder that visitors can feel the ancient energy with every step.
The Daintree is one of the best biologically diverse rainforests in the world, too, and home to a huge percentage of Australia's animal population. This includes 30% of Australia's frog population, 65% of butterfly and bats and around 12,000 different insect species. Learn more about wildlife in the Daintree.
