The Lycian Way
Hike the path of the ancients
The history of Lycia, which means the
‘Land of Light’ , dates back to the 13th century BC. The
hiking route known today as the Lycian Way from
Fethiye to
Antalya is a marked pathway that passes
through the mountains, a distance of around 540 kilometers. It is one of
the world’s great long-distance hiking trails for its unique combination
of Mediterranean views, mountainous hinterland and ancient ruins. In
fact, the track which had consisted of separate disconnected roads was
connected for the first time in the
Roman Empire period and turned into a long
wide road network which later became the Lycian Way. It's a great path
for anyone excited about history and
nature, so discover the magic of the Lycian Way!
