I love creating floral bouquets! Use these steps to build your own:
Prepping your flowers and container is the most important piece of
building a long-lasting floral bouquet or arranagmet. Trim the stems
of the flowers to the desired length and remove any leaves or thorns
that will be below the waterline in the vase.
Note: use a sharp pair of scissors or floral shears to avoid
crushing the stems
Greenery or foliage act as the base of your arrangement and support
the weight of your other flowers. Start by adding 3 stems at a time.
The bottom of the stems should create a criss-cross pattern.
Example greenery: Eucalyptus, Ferns, Lemon Leaf
Your focal flowers are the main attraction and typically the largest
flowers in your design. Aim to have 1-2 focal flowers. These should
be larger than the filler flowers and greenery and have a more
prominent place in the arrangement.
Example focal flowers: Roses, Sunflowers, Peonies,
Ranunculus
Filler flowers will fill in any gaps in your design. These should be
smaller than the focal flowers and be used to add texture and depth
to the arrangement.
Example filler flowers: Baby's Breath, Statice, Stock,
Lisianthus
