Oleg Shuplyak is an honored artist of Ukraine. Works in
various areas of painting. His series "Doubles" (author's name of
paintings-illusions with a double meaning) gained wide popularity in the

The famous artist Giuseppe Archimboldo and his followers created portraits by piling up objects,
fruits, etc. Paintings with a double meaning were written by Salvador
Dali. The Berezhan artist painted his first painting with a double
meaning in 1992. When you first look at it, you see a traditional
Ukrainian landscape, but you should move away - and the outlines of the
Dnipro cliffs and the stormy sky turn into the face of Taras Shevchenko,
which is complemented by the figure of a young kobzar.
