Mindfulness Meditation

What is mindfulness meditation?

This is a type of meditation in which a person focuses attention on his or her breathing and thoughts, feelings, and sensations are experienced freely as they arise.¹

My meditation journey

I was first introduced to meditation in 2014 when I was experiencing a lot of stress at a new job. A teacher lead me through a body scan exercise, and for the first time in months, I experienced a sense of calm and clarity.

Today, meditation is a part of my daily routine. It keeps me grounded by giving me the chance to pause and notice what's going on with my mind and body. By meditating, I can take better care of myself and stay focused on what's really important in life. I'm so thankful that I found this practice!

What are the benefits?

Over the years, meditation has helped me manage more than just work stress. It has taught me about compassion, forgiveness, impermanence, and letting go. Meditation doesn't eliminate difficulties; rather, it helps me relate to them in a different way.
