Manufacturers and producers are increasing efforts to reduce and recycle packaging, seen across all sectors, from food to retail production, and encourage consumers to do the same. -
🌎 Sustainable Transport:
Improvements include increased bicycle use, low carbon public transport, and the rollout of electric vehicles. Sustainable transport options continue to evolve, contributing to better infrastructure. -
🌍 Food Waste Reduction:
UNEP research reveals that one-third of all food produced for human consumption goes to waste, around 1.3 billion tonnes, contributing to hazardous odors, toxic chemicals, and the need for more landfill sites. -
🌎 Second-hand Purchases and Reuse:
Increasing in popularity, second-hand purchasing and reuse of products and materials drastically reduces the environmental impact of new product manufacture, supply chains, and delivery, while cutting down spending costs. -
🌍 Sustainable Materials:
Swapping packaging materials, clothing fibers, and construction materials for more sustainable natural resource options, such as easily biodegradable or replaceable materials, minimizes environmental impact. -

The pandemic has made remote work more normal, with businesses around the world still adopting the practice due to numerous benefits, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption in office buildings. Technology also allows more people to communicate and store information remotely.
