Great Danes are a breed of large domestic dogs that are
known for their impressive size and gentle nature. It seems that their
vigor and intelligence can be seen right through their eyes. With a Great
Dane around I do not feel alone or helpless, I know that someone brave and
dependable is ready to protect me in times of danger. A Great Dane may not
stay with me for a long time but I don't worry about that. The happiness
and love this breed offers are enough to treasure them for a lifetime. The
care and effort it took make this breed can be felt with any Great Dane
you will ever meet. They have a strong presence thay catches the attention
of anybody walking by and have charasmatic personailties that draw people
in. Here are some reasons why I consider them my favorite breed.
Size and Strength: Great Danes are one of the largest
dog breeds, their size alone can be quite impressive. They are strong and
powerful dogs that were originally bred for hunting large game and they
have retained their athleticism and strength over the years. Make sure to
train them when they are small, these puppies grow very quickly!
Temperament: Despite their size, Great Danes are
known for their gentle and affectionate nature. They are loyal and loving
dogs that make great companions and family pets.
Appearance: Great Danes are often admired for their
sleek and muscular appearance. They come in a variety of colors and
patterns. Including fawn, harlequin, black, and merle.
Health:
They are generally healthy dogs but compared to other breeds they have a
shorter lifespan of around 7-10 years due to their size. They are prone to
certain health issues such as hip dysplasia and bloat. They require 2
hours of daily exercise to keep them from getting into trouble. Overall,
Great Danes are awesome dogs that make great pets for the right families.
