Power Yoga
What is power yoga?
Power yoga is a style of yoga geared towards increasing muscular
strength and cardiovascular endurance. As it is a relatively vigorous
form of yoga, power yoga can burn more calories than common styles of
yoga such as Hatha yoga and Yin yoga. Power yoga can be considered more
of a dynamic style of yoga than a meditative or restorative style of
yoga. It’s important to note that power yoga isn’t an official type of
yoga in its own right. Power yoga is a subtype of Vinyasa yoga, which
has its roots in Ashtanga yoga.
