Living in the market town of
Macclesfield,
the Peak District National Park is on our doorstep and I love nothing
more than heading out in the morning for a day out in nature. Through
town you can stock up on sustenance for your walk and then off up into
open fields and fresh air. A short walk through the village of Langley
nearby takes you up into Macclesfield Forest, home to 3 Victorian
reservoirs, and then on to Shutlingsloe, Wild Boar Clough and eventually
Buxton and the high and dark peaks. Routes are aplenty and offer a vast
array of wonderful and variable vistas, terrains and, of course, lovely
country pubs. What better way to finish a good days walking than with a
pint of locally brewed ale. 🍺
So, lace up your walking boots and step out into an adventure!
