🐞 Things I Learned from Miraculous Ladybug 🐞
Yes it is a kids' show... But it's not JUST a kids show.
Allow me to explain
Over the past 5 seasons, and 2 movies, along with many life lessons,
I've experienced several moments worth face-palming whilst watching this
amazing show. So here are the top 3 things I've learned which are
completely true that you should keep in mind to make your days just that
much better:
Relationships are your greatest asset
When Marinette feels overwhelmed from balancing her duties as a student,
and as a superhero, she relies on Alya to talk things through and regain
composure. When struggling to tell Adrien how she feels, her friends are
the ones who encourage her. When she feels lost, her parents are always
there to provide her with a nice baked treat and help her find herself
once more. This isn't only about Marinette. All of the characters in
this show have their support systems, and their relationships always
make up the foundation of it.
It's important to make time for yourself no matter what
No matter what is going on in one's life, it's important to make time
for oneself. Marinette enjoys desinging, and baking, Alya takes pleasure
in running the LadyBlog to support Ladybug. Many students make up the
art club at their school. Adrien is one of the characters who is under
the strict control of his father. As a result, he goes by his father's
schedule and he has no time left for himself. This leads him to be very
upset and distant. However, once he gains control over some of his own
time, he starts enjoying his life more, and grows into his true self -
even pursing a romantic relationship with Marinette.
Your feelings don't define you, your actions and decisions do
When people get akumatized, its always because of a negative emotion
that shadowmoth (aka. hawkmoth) capitalizes on. However, in the later
seasons people could break free from their akumatization or even refuse
getting akumatized. This is not to say don't take responsibility for
your actions, but rather that your actions are what matters most, and
feelings are only emotions and can be controlled. It's not inward
thoughts that make change, it's outward actions.
There are ofcourse many more important lessons to learn from kids tv
shows.
