Everyone at some point in their life has come across the name Harley Davidson, usually appearing as a logo on a motorcycle, but more recently is seen worn by Gen Z on their thrifted vintage t-shirts. But what or who is Harley Davidson? And why is the name so popular across the world, as motorcycling enthusiasts?
Harley-Davidson, Inc. is an American motorcycle manufacturer
headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. Founded in 1903,
it is one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the
Great Depression along with its historical rival, Indian Motorcycles. So
what makes them so famous?
Well apart from making the rider feel like a member of a group and
allowing them forget about their age and impending retirement -
Harley-Davidson motorcycles are made to last. With their durable
assembly matched with their revolutionary engines, these bikes are
incredibly durable. Plus, most of their parts are easily replaceable;
meaning that you can purchase new parts when they become damaged or
well-worn instead of buying an entirely new bike.
