Helpful tips and tricks for dog owners 🐶
Below I will help give you a few tips and tricks on how to capture some amazing shots of your pup!
The basics:-
Step 1: The Attention Grabber: use an item that will get your dog's attention.
For example, you may use their favorite toy or my personal favorite, a squeaker, like this one. -
Step 2: The Camera: You may achieve beautiful photos whether you are using a smartphone or a professional DSLR camera. There is a popular saying that says the best camera you have, is the one that is with you.
The photo on the left was taken on an iPhone 11 Pro using the app Manual* and processed with Lightroom Mobile. The photo on the right was taken on a Canon 5d Mark IV and processed with the Lightroom desktop application.

Step 3: Applications: If you are shooting with a smartphone, there are a number of apps you can download that capture more information when taking a photo than the native camera. Two apps that I would recommend are
Moment and Manual.
- Step 4 Editing: For editing, I would recommend Adobe Creative Suite's Lightroom and Photoshop applications. Both are also available as mobile applications that will sync to your account on your computer. Lightroom and Photoshop give you the ability to tweak all apsects of the photo: lighting, color, crop, lens correction and more.

- Step 5 Publishing: Your photo is edited and ready to be shared with the world! You can publish your photos on photo sharing websites such as Instagram, Facebook, Flickr and others. Everyone loves cute photos and videos of dogs, so why not create a personalized instagram account for them? 👋🐶
Instagram is a great app to use when wanting to interact with other pet owners who love their pets and want to share their every day adventures.
