Learning to Grow

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow
— Audrey Hepburn

There are many types of gardens you can have. You can grow fruits and vegetables, herbs, or flowers. Some have them all! Growing a garden can be very therapudic and also very rewarding. While some plants can grow themselves with little maintenance, many vegetables and flowers have a specific season they flourish in. It is always best to keep a gardening journal to take note of what to plant, when to plant, when to prune, and when to harvest. Many stay on a strict fertilizing schedule while others let nature run its course. It is fun when you can grow something new and see what works best for your climate. No two seasons are alike, and what works for most may not work well in your garden.

While it is important to do your own research, networking with other gardeners in your area can be very beneficial for you to get advice and helpful tips!
