Orangutan Jungle School is a documentary created by
Channel 4, filmed at Nyaru Menteng in Borneo, Indonesia. The series,
follows the tragedies, antics and triumphs of a group of orphaned
orangutans. These orangutans had been displaced due to forest
destruction, separation from their mothers, or kept illegally as pets.
The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) manages the primate
rehabilitation project at Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue Centre, and the
series follows the group of orangutans as they are progressing through a
forest school system where they will learn to fend for themselves in an
already fragile ecosystem.
