A beautiful country located in the center of the Atlantic Ocean
Cape Verde, also known as Cabo Verde, about 570 kilometers (350 miles) off the coast of West Africa. The islands are volcanic in origin and are known for their diverse landscapes, including rugged mountains, deserts, and beaches. The country's official language is Portuguese and its culture is a mix of African, European, and Brazilian influences. Cape Verde has a population of around 550,000 and its economy is primarily based on tourism, fishing, and agriculture.

Santo Antão
Santo Antão steals hearts at first glance. The contrast between the magnitude of the extensive rocky landscapes, the vastness of the sea and the green valleys is unexpected and overwhelming. Here, it is produced one of the best grogues (a rum-like drink) in the archipelago.

São Vicente
São Vicente is the land of Cesária Évora as also the home of mornas, jazz and coladera. The Archipelago's most famous carnival event takes place every year on this Island, that also receives the music festival “Baía das Gatas” and the International Theater Festival Mindelact.

Santa Luzia
Santa Luzia is the only uninhabited island, but it is no less relevant in Cabo Verde. Access is restricted to fishermen on the islands of São Vicente and São Nicolau and to Biologists, for educational and scientific purposes.

São Nicolau
São Nicolau ran the world in the voice of Cesária Évora, pictured as the island of those who followed the "far way road" to São Tomé. It is a mystical land, given to the mysteries, beliefs and legends that accompany the days.

Sal
Sal owes its name to the mineral that abounds on the island. It's a small, flat, arid island, with a touch of lunar landscape. White sand beaches, a dry tropical climate and warm, transparent waters have long won over tourists who come from all over the world looking for sun and rest.

Boavista
Germano Almeida, a writer born in Boa Vista, wrote about his fantastic island, remembering the "beaches of thick and white sand, where the sea is deep, gentle and clear; beaches of light gravel and strong waves and also beaches so quiet as if they were lakes or simple puddles".

Maio
Maio is a quiet, welcoming and almost intact island, protected from tourist crowds. A piece of paradise, maintaining the authenticity of traditional Cabo Verdean culture. Also, the spawning of the turtles is an unmissable moment - only possible if accompanied by a guide.

Santiago
Santiago is the most African of the islands in the archipelago. It is the largest island in the archipelago and the city of Praia, capital of Cabo Verde, is home to more than half of the country's population. Cidade Velha is the oldest city created in the tropics by Europeans. It is in the North of this island where the Former Concentration Camp of Tarrafal is located.

The Fogo Island has the highest point of the archipelago, the Fogo Volcano, that is still active, but with no danger to residents and visitors. Due to the majesty of the volcano, the island is as wild as it is beautiful, with fertile land, even with scarcity of water.

Brava Island Brava is the most remote, the greenest and the most flowery in the Cabo Verde archipelago, also known as Flowers' Island. Those who visit swear that they have fallen in love for the island, such are the charms, delicious aromas and idyllic scenery.
