After a historic 2022 season Aaron Judge was named the
newest Yankee captain. This annoucement was made at Yankees Stadium on
December 22nd during Judge's resigning press conference. Prior to this
the Yankees have not had a captain since Hall of Fame member Derek Jeter
retired in 2014. Judge like Jeter came up through the Yankees
organization. He was drafted by the Yankees in 2013 and worked his way
through the minors. Until he was call up to the big leagues! Judge was
named the 2017 Rookie of the Year and won the HR Derby that season. Fast
forward 7 seasons later and number 99 has not slowed down. 💥 Judge
ended his monster season with 62 home runs, 131 RBI, an OPS of 1.111 and
a batting average of .311. Leading 1st for many offensive caterogies and
