Amparo is a Brazilian municipality in the state of São Paulo.
It is located in a region with unique nature, gastronomy and architecture around 130 kilometers from the capital of São Paulo, 60 kilometers from Campinas and is also part of a group of cities that interconnect with the south of the state of Minas Gerais. Considered a hydromineral resort, the destination is the seat of the Historical Capital of the Circuito das Águas (“Water-Circuit”) due to the vast and important architectural heritage. Its history is preserved in the historic area of ​​colonial buildings, mansions and churches in the centre, on farms from the heyday of coffee.

WINTER FESTIVAL
One of the main events in the city is the Winter Festival, when some stages are set over the main plaza and presentations are scheduled for the whole month of July. A variety of music bands and artists are invited to the city, from sertanejo (a Brazilian form of country music) and heavy metal to Ballet.
TOURS
The municipality has farms, surrounded by mountains, squares and the Cristo Redentor hill, which is known for being the second largest statue in Brazil. Rural Tourism stands out for visiting these old farms in the municipality.
PARKS
The destination has beautiful parks and squares, with ample space, has urban public space, providing leisure and connection with nature.
GASTRONOMY
Gastronomic tourism in the municipality is known for its large production of cheeses and other dairy products, cachaça, wines, sausages, homemade greengrocers and award-winning coffees.

THE WAY TO THE INTERIOR
Called “Caminhos pro interior” in portuguese, it is a set of rural roads in the midst of nature in the Circuito das Águas Paulista and south of the Minas Geriais region, uniting 20 municipalities and 05 districts, forming a Tourist Route that runs through the Serra da Mantiqueira. The "Water-Circuit" is a cluster of towns in São Paulo state which are famous for natural fountains and provides an individual, family or group transforming experience, towards self-knowledge, reflection, memory rescue, practice of physical, sports, ecological and adventure activities. It can be traveled on foot, bicycle, horse or even by car.
