BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan; lit. Bulletproof Boy Scouts), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 and debuting in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The boy band consists of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They co-write and co-produce the majority of their material.
On June 14, in 2022, during their ninth anniversary celebrations, the band announced a temporary suspension of group activities to focus on solo projects and other endeavors.
