Contrary to popular belief, Shih-Tzu are NOT native to
China or Japan.
Shih Tzu are from Tibet and are a cross between two breeds:
Pekingese and Lhasa Apso.
According to the American Kennel Club the Shih Tzu breed
is over 1,000 years old and their name means "Little Lion."
