Interactive Movies or Movie Games place a heavy focus on story and presentation over gameplay. They play like a film, but with interactive elements worked in. Most events are highly cinematic or scripted and there is an emphasis on the narrative rather than the gameplay. At certain key points the player may have to make dialogue choices, react to quick time events, or even partake of light exploration and collectible gathering. Instant death or a narrative change are common outcomes, dependent upon how well the player has completed these tasks.
