A lifeguard is a rescuer who supervises the safety and rescue of swimmers, surfers, and other water sports participants such as in a swimming pool, water park,beach, spa, river and lake.

Lifeguard requirements:

• 16 years of age or older
• Completion of lifeguard training
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
• Available to work shifts
• Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous
