Firstly, what is yoga?

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India and aim to control and still the mind, recognizing a detached witness-consciousness untouched by the mind and mundane suffering.

Types of yoga include hatha, Iyengar, vinyasa, hot yoga, and ashtanga. For an aerobic workout, a vinyasa class might be the best to boost your heart rate. If you're looking for a more meditative class, ashtanga focuses on mindful movement.
