Morning Pages is a personal journaling technique created by author
Julia Cameron in her book The Artist's Way
It is a form of stream of consciousness writing that is done first
thing in the morning with the purpose of releasing thoughts and feelings
from the subconscious. The technique involves writing three pages of
longhand, stream of consciousness writing about whatever comes to mind.
It is an effective way of releasing any thoughts or feelings that may be
blocking creativity, and can improve mental clarity.
Morning Pages
can be used to freely express thoughts and emotions without judgement,
often leading to breakthroughs in problem-solving. It is also a great
way to improve writing skills, as it allows for practice in expressing
oneself in writing.
