Hibiscus
An Amazing Flower
Hibiscus is a flower that has amazing qualities and is more then just a beautiful flower,the tropical flower typically grows 4-6 inches and comes in many shades but typically red.
Native to Asia and West Africa, the edible flower has a lemony taste and is rich in Vitamin C
It's the national flower of jamaica, which they also call sorrel and uses the dried flower for beverages and many medicinal purposes such as help lowering cholesterol,aids digestion,weight loss and has anti-aging properties.
In Mexico they created an ice tea called agua de Jamaica and is heavily used in food as well as hair products and skincare.
The flower tends to be prepared for edible use dry, once the flower is dried it's either kept in it's natural form or made into a powder or extract.
