Electric cars are powered by energy from the battery. This energy is converted into power by an electric motor, which is used to drive the wheels. Like any other battery, the life of the car's battery will lessen over time, as it would get charged time and time again. The life of the car’s battery is otherwise known as the range, the higher the range the healthier the battery. Electric vehicles have very expensive batteries, therefore there are those that believe the cost of used electric vehicles should be priced according to a model of remaining range when the battery is full.
