Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a holiday in Mexico where the residents honor their deceased love ones and friends. It is a two-day festival that starts on November 1st and ends on November 2nd. During the celebration, people dress in skeleton attire with a colorful palette and decorated with roses others are dancing to Mexican Traditional dances like Folklorico and playing Mariachi. Many create altars with sugar skulls, pictures, Marigolds, candles, food, and toys in their homes or the cemetery. The altar is a symbol of welcoming the dead back to the world of the living so they could help the deceased in the afterlife with their spiritual journey.
