Crows are part of the genus Corvus, or more broadly a synonym for all of
Corvus. Often seen as a symbol of death but also seen as a symbol
rebirth.
Habitat
They can be found in multiple different continents and countries. As a
species they adopted to a varity of enviroments. This inculdes forest,
mountains, deserts and urban habitats. Crows live in larger groups
called
murder. They communicate using a series of
caws
Intelligence
They have one of the largest ratio of brain to head of any bird, with a
EQ of 4.1. They have the equivalent reasoning skills of a human 7 year
old. They are one of the few animals that actively use tools. These
amazinng birds have been documented using sticks and passing vechiles to
their advantage. They have also been observed to wind surf.
What is of the most impressive displays of intelligence is their ability
to relay information across generations. In one experiment, a scientist
wore a mask ans harassed the crows. Even though only a few members
witnessed the situation, the whole group was able to identify the masked
scientist as a threat. This behavior continued This behavior continued
for multiple generations. Evidently, this was being taught to the young.
Since, anyone who wore a similar mask or looked similar was treated the
same way.
Crows are constantly observing. They don't forget.
