whereas my mother is a golden retriever (my hooman does not know my
biological mother's name)
The Groodle (a cross between Golden Retrievers and Poodles) is a breed that is becoming increasingly popular as a family pet, due to their low allergy coats and playful personality. They are good with children, easy to train and love to go for long walks with their families. First developed in North America some time in the 1990's. This mix is a product of recent trends in dog crossbreeding for the purposes of producing a better companion dog.
