Prayer Plant
Maranta leuconeura
Tha Prayer Plant is one of my favorite plants. It's so cute how the leaves go up at night and then open back up during the day!
The Maranta leuconeura, more commonly known as the Maranta or Prayer plant, has three different different varieties:
- M. tricolor
- M. leuconeura kerchoveana
- M leuconeura massangeana
This plant grow well in bright, indirect light. They also handle well in low light conditions. It is important to note, that too much sunlight can scorch the leaves.The Maranta thrives best when provided with greenhouse-like conditions: warm, moist, gentle airflow, and plenty of fertilizer.
