Adopt, Don't Shop

Adopting saves lives

Nash and Rocky

Did you know that over one million animals per year are euthanized? Too many pets are being brought into shelters and are left unadopted.

This number could be decreased if people decided to adopt rather than buy. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to find a loving animal that would be a good fit in your household.

I have always been a fan of adopting. The idea of being able to bring home an animal with an unknown past and provide them with a forever home is heartwarming.

In my personal experience, I traveled to Tennessee to adopt my first pup, Nash! He was abandoned by his owner and was brought into the shelter. Not only did I save Nash's life, but he also saved mine. He's been the perfect young man who is showing signs of being comfortable in his new home and new parents

My second dog, Rocky, was also abandoned by his previous owner. Caught on camera was his owner in a white truck, pulling over to the side of the road, opening up the door, and letting Rocky roam free in a random neighborhood. Rocky was brought into a shelter with no microchip. Shortly after his arrival, we were able to bring him home.

There are loving animals all over the world who are stuck in shelters. The next time you think about buying a new animal for your home, consider adoption! Your life will change knowing that you are providing love and happiness to an animal with a hurt pass.
