Couponing is confusing, I understand. I was a beginner once too. I'll
break down couponing in its most simple form to help you on your journey
to couponing success! With inflation rising, now is a better time than ever to learn!
Many have this misconception of couponing, so I'm here to help change that thought process. Let the savings
begin!
Sign up for your local newspaper. Check your store bulletin board for
coupons or mentions of any discount codes before your shopping (typically at the store entrance).
Download store apps as well as coupon apps if you're app-savvy (I
recommend Ibotta, Checkout 51 and Upside- which is great when trying to
save money on the purchase of gas, Especially with the rise of these gas prices).
Join local coupon groups on Facebook to keep in the coupon know-how
where you live (ex. Charlotte Coupon Group)
What you will need to begin couponing:
A printer for printing online coupons, those coupons can be used instore. (You can also just use a cash back app on
your phone like Ibotta and Checkout51)
A laptop or computer (many times you can simply use your cellphone as well)
A plastic binder with dividers/labels or you can review other methods for beginners when organizing your coupons.
Store flyers A local newspaper (and/or any other mail subscriptions with
coupons) I would recommend signing up for product mailers. Often times they send higher value coupons to their subscribers.
