What is cosplay and why do I love it so much?
The word cosplay is a combination of the words
costume and play. People that do cosplay wear costumes
to look like a certain character from the pop culture (comic books,
games, films). The play part refers to
cosplay being a form of performance art.
Every cosplayer has their own way of showing what cosplay means to them
and all forms are forms of cosplay. When we look at the costumes they
can be bought, commissioned, bought and altered or made by the person
themself. The performance part can vary from just having fun and walking
around in costume to being a professional performer/influencer/artist.
But remember: The most important thing about cosplay is
HAVING FUN!

What does cosplay mean to me?
Hi, I am Evelina and cosplay is my passion! I have been cosplaying for 8
years and it has given me the opportunity to be creative and develop my
crafting skills and acting. It is very fulfilling and exciting to
finally finish a costume after lots of hard work and being able to wear
it to a convention or photohsoot. I love meeting people that share the
same passion and I love creating content with the costumes that I make.
Being able to entertain people with something that I love is super
rewarding. Cosplay has been my passion for many years and I am sure
there will be many more. Can't wait to show you all my future projects!
