In local Christmas markets you’ll find foods, crafts, and unique gifts in winter settings as charming as any Christmas card. Cherished Traditions
You’ll discover the origins of many of our most memorable Christmas traditions—Christmas trees, nutcrackers, twinkling lights, gingerbread and anis cookies. Christmas magic in the Swiss Alps is the perfect start to your holiday season. Alway surprising is a dinner cruise on Lake Lucerne as we visit the lakeside village of Küssnacht for their unforgettable Klausjagen procession to ring in St Nicholas Day.
Sightseeing and Charming Swiss Villages
We visit the German, French, and Italian speaking regions so you'll see more of Switzerland than you ever thought possible. You'll discover the traditions, holiday foods, music, and other festivities in culturally vibrant and charming Alpine towns.
and the Matterhorn at Christmas Time
Visiting Zermatt and the Matterhorn is always a special event, and especially during the Christmas season. We take the Gornergrat cogwheel railway to an elevation of over 10,000 feet where we have panoramic views of the Matterhorn and many of the highest peaks of the Swiss Alps surrounding us.
