A long, long, time ago...

These bite-sized delights date back hundreds of years to the country of China. That's right, not Japan. Although most of us are under the assumption that it did come from Japan (including myself); the origin of sushi traces back to a Chinese dish called narezushi. Without the advances of modern day technology, this dish was perserved throug the process of fermented rice and salted fish; this methodology prevented bacterial growth and longevity of freshness.
