What's the issue?

Due to overconsumption, population growth and the increasing demand of resources, the environment has been under a lot of pressure for the past decades. As a result, changes in nature have happened, some of which are irreversible. Since the 1960s, environmental movements have created more awareness of the multiple environmental problems worldwide. However, there is disagreement on the extent of the environmental impact of human activity, so protection measures are regularly debated in politics, science, and the economic sector.

• buy more things second hand
• repair broken items in your household
• sell or give away things you no longer need


• ✔ Be careful with resources:
• don’t waste food
• buy regional products
• save water and electricity where you can
• cycle, take a train or walk instead of using a car


• ✔ Get involved:
• join a local environmental group
• contact politicians and demand environmental protection measures
