We, the Members of The Apostolic Church established in the Gold Coast in 1935, a branch of the worldwide Christian Denomination known as The Apostolic Church, which is an outgrowth of the 1904-5 Revival in Wales which is commemorated on the foundation stone of its Headquarters Church at Penygroes, Dyfed, South Wales and who are committed to the propagation of the full Gospel of Jesus Christ with evangelization and righteousness of the Kingdom of God as its Supreme calling; believing that the Church of our time ought to resemble the Church of the New Testament embracing Apostolic doctrine and submitting to Apostolic government and having had the affairs of the Church governed under various Constitutions enacted by the General Council of the Apostolic Church in the UK until the year 1985 when we enacted and began to govern our affairs as an autonomous entity under The Apostolic Church - Ghana, Its Principles & Practices; (hereinafter referred to as the Second Constitution) and still desirous of maintaining the relevance and distinctiveness of The Glorious Apostolic Vision, Missions and cherished aspiration, and thereby realising the need to widen the scope of our concerns to cover vigorous missionary activities in other nations and also thereby realizing the need for amendments of, additions to, deletions from and adoption of some provisions of the said Second Constitution to strengthen our institutional capacity to meet the growing challenges of our time and to facilitate Church growth and development, and also in our bid to have a peaceful co- existence within ourselves, the larger Apostolic family and our associates and Churches wanting to fellowship with us, do hereby adopt, enact and affirm to give ourselves willingly to work under all articles contained in this third Constitution which represent amendments of, additions to, deletions from and adoptions of some provisions of the Second Constitution.
