Wild animals living in Ukrainian zoos, eco-parks and shelters have become hostages of war. Some of them ended up in the zone of active hostilities. This little zebra was born at the end of March in the zoo near Kyiv, at that time there was heavy fighting there.
Due to the destruction of the corresponding infrastructure, the zoo was left without gas and electricity supply, communication. The zoo staff continued to work despite the sirens and bombardment, and fought to save the animals.
