Too much and too little sleep can put you at risk for developing Alzheimer's.

Understanding why you are sleeping more is key to determining why you may be at an increased risk for Alzheimer's. Not getting enough sleep causes poor memory retention and is possibly linked to the development of Alzheimer's. However, too much sleep is also not healthy and can contribute to the risk of disease as well.

Sleeping is a way for the brain to rest and repair itself and the body. Is this the brain's attempt at fighting off disease? Does sleep possibly slow the progression of Alzheimer's throughout the brain?
