Solutions
Get a declawed kitty so they don't ruin the furniture or cut their
claws. This one is hard to prevent honestly even if you get a cat
scratch board and I think it's inhumane to declaw them.
Use the Hoover on kitty accidents within a short time so they don't
stain or smell.
Buy pet odor eliminators or cleaners.
Get a male cat of a hypoallergenic breed.
Vaccuum a lot.
Max would take allergy pill everyday.
Cat not allowed in our room.
Encourage it to be an outdoor kitty.
Don't get a kitten so we don't have to pay for shots.
Adopted cats are spayed/neutured.
Make sure to put water in it's food and not feed to much!
Don't adopt a cat with health issues.
Cats are okay on their own for several days.
Buy an automatic water and feeder.
Ask Sabrey to check in on it during longer trips.
We could ask our landlord.
Cats live up to 20 years - let's assume ours lives 15 because we're
not getting a kitten.
The
ASPCA
estimates annual expenses for cat owners at $634/yr or $53/month.
That will add up to $9.5K if our cat lives to be 15.
