DYI: Knitting
A sense of relaxation and hygge
While many people exercise after a hard day, I enjoy the end of the
working day with a nice cup of herbal tea and my
knitting needles. Especially in the cold season, I
make myself comfortable on the couch and listen to music. You slow
down and can enjoy the moment - simply hygge. As a
side effect, I can either wear the knitted items myself, or my family
and friends are happy about getting beautiful self-made gifts.
Knitting not only has the aspect of cosiness but is also
healthy. The rhythm and the clicking of the knitting
needles have a meditative effect on both body and mind. In addition,
it improves physical skills and the brain must do a lot of work while
focusing on counting and getting the right pattern. The most important
point is that it makes you happy, even if it can be
frustrating in the beginning. But at the end of all the work you will
enjoy something you created with your own hands!
