Saint-Petersburg was founded in the 18th century, with the inspiration of
Tsar Peter the Great who after his travelling around the Europe decided to
recreate in his own manner all seen architectural splendor which was
supposed to be symbolized as "The window to the Europe". For a long time
Saint-Petersburg rappresents the cultural and artistic capital of Russia,
attracting tourists from all over the world not only because of it's
unique architecture, but also due to it's very special atmosphere,
particularly during the period of White Nights.
St. Petersburg is the most European city of Russia. And at the same time
the most Russian.
