Ethiopia is believed to be the birthplace of coffee, dating back to 850
AD. When a local herdsman noticed his herd of goats always went and ate
these berries from a certain tree, and after had more energy. So he
decided to try them out, and he too had more energy after eating them.
It wasn't until the 17th century that Ethiopia started to export their
coffee, although enjoyed by locals for many years before.
