It is estimated that over 26% of the entire UK adult population own a dog. This translates to around 10 million dogs living within the UK. Whilst not all dogs are registered, this estimate is as close as accurate as we can get. Some experts do believe that it could be as high as 11 million dogs in the UK in 2020.
