Vareniki is a Ukrainian national dish in the form of boiled products made from unleavened dough stuffed with boiled meat, vegetables, mushrooms, fruits, cottage cheese, potatoes and berries. Vareniki in the 19th century were also known to the peasants of the Kursk province. Lazy dumplings can be considered as a variety of ordinary dumplings that does not require long modeling, or as a separate dish. To prepare them, the filling (most often cottage cheese) is mixed with dough, then rolled into a tourniquet and cut into dumplings, after which they are boiled.
