Packing is kind of my life

... and I love it!

Creating a capsule wardrobe

a lovely capsule wardrobe

Although the term "capsule wardrobe" has been around since the 1970s, it has gained in popularity recently along with many "minimalist" lifestyles. In very simple terms, it means choosing items that all go together and are very flexible. This is key for packing the least and getting the most out of what you pack. With as few as 10 items, you could make as many as 50 outfits! learn more from "Who, What, Wear"

Organizing it all

a well organized suitcase

Once you've chosen the wardrobe that gets you the most bang for your buck, it's time to put it in the suitcase. There are a lot of resources out there that will show you how to squeeze the most amount of stuff into your tiny suitcase, but you don't need that, right? Because you've chosen the perfect tiny capsule wardrobe. 💁🏼‍♀️ You'll have plenty of room for all of it, with room left over for the delicious snacks and souvenirs from wherever you're going. Instead of thinking about how to get the most in, think about how to get it the easiest out. A well organized suitcase can make a world of difference.

Choosing the right stuff

travel toiletries

Apart from what clothes you bring, you should think about what other things you really need on your trip. Choosing the right toiletries, cosmetics, tools, pass times, snacks... it all depends on the type of trip you are taking. But here's a clue. You probably need less than half of what you think. Seriously edit down all of your supplies. Think you need 3 eye shadow palettes and that hair mask? you don't. Think you're going to magically have time to read four novels and do all those work reports... probably not. Leave it behind. You'll feel lighter. You'll experience more! (but take the solid shampoo bar! it's totally worth it)
