Ferris Wheels

I see nothing in space as promising as the view from a Ferris wheel.

A Ferris wheel is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating upright wheel with multiple passenger-carrying components (commonly referred to as passenger cars, cabins, tubs, gondolas, capsules, or pods) attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turns, they are kept upright, usually by gravity.
"Pleasure wheels", whose passengers rode in chairs suspended from large wooden rings turned by strong men, may have originated in 17th-century Bulgaria. But did you know that the original Ferris wheel was designed and constructed by Gale Ferris Jr. as a landmark for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago? Currently, the world's tallest Ferris wheel in operation is the Ain Dubai (250 m/ 820 ft) in the United Arab Emirates which opened in 2021.
