What is Kayaking??? What does the word kayaking mean for YOU!!

• Is it a sit on top kayak?
• Is it a Canadian canoe?
• Is it a short whitewater kayak?
• Is it a long sea kayak?

My preference is a "sea kayak" & I have two of them! Good for distance & Expeditioning

• A composite 3 piece NDK Romany Sea Kayak
• A three piece (after it comes out of the mould, its cut in three pieces(adds to the cost price) & watertight bulkheads fitted, it allows you to airfreight your kayak for expeditions abroad!
• A three piece kayak can be put in the back of an estate instead of on the roof of your car! Making it easier for transportation.
• If you dont have the stength to lift a normal sea kayak, with a three piece you can put it together at the shoreline.
• Composite construction means stiffness so that paddle forward motion is maximised
• A plastic boat may deform or flex which means not all effort is used in forward motion
• A plastic P&H Scorpio
• The benefit of a plastic sea kayak is that it is unlikely to get holed on the rocks!
• Therefore when playing in rock gardens timing the wave surge to hop over rocks
  a plastic boat is less likely to be damaged
• In a composite kayak a mis-timed rock hop may cause either chipped gelcoat or a holed kayak which will need to be repaired!
• Plastic kayaks are generally slower to paddle than composite sea kayaks
