In 1984, 37% of all students graduating with degrees in computer and information sciences were women. However, they comprised of less than half of that by 2010, as the industry was more willing to hire men.

Computer science is the study of how computers work, which includes software, hardware, and algorithms. It is the greatest tool that will help us uncover solutions to many of the world's challenging problems. Learning computer science can lead to a career in software development, game development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, web and app development, and so much more. All it takes is a great idea combined with coding knowledge to positively change the world!
