Old Tereshchenko Palace

The Grokholsky-Tereshchenko Palace is a unique monument of architecture of the 19th century. It was built in neo-Gothic style in 1851 by the Polish nobleman Adolf Grocholski (1797-1863). Tereshchenko Palace Now it is in a dilapidated state, but volunteers are raising money for restoration. Andriivskyi Descent is a historic descent connecting Kyiv's Upper Town neighborhood and the historically commercial Podil neighborhood. The street is a major tourist attraction of the city. It is included in the list of national landmarks by the government resolution. The descent is one of the favorite spots for tourists. It is also notable for the many festivals, exhibitions, souvenir shops and artists' alley.
